An article posted today on the Nashua Telgraph web site:
North bridge project dead, lawmaker says
The controversial proposal to build a new privately funded roadway and tolled bridge through the middle of a Nashua neighborhood is dead.
The lead sponsor of a state bill that would have allowed private financing to pay for the new roadway told the Telegraph today that he and his fellow lawmakers have agreed to amend to the legislation to specifically prohibit building any bridge or roadway at that site.
“If there ever is a north bridge, it won’t go through that neighborhood,” said State Rep. David Campbell, D-Nashua.

Note, though, that Campbell still plans to file the legislation (HB 1626) to permit eminent domain taking of property on behalf of private developers, so there is still a battle to be fought. It would not surprise me if the wording changes in a surprising way.
